San Diego County officials said thousands of residents living in the paths of two wind-whipped wildfires need to be ready to evacuate their homes. At a news conference shortly before 7 p.m., fire officials said the fire two fire have the potential of being even worse than the Cedar Fire of 2003, which burned more than 300,000 acres and destroyed more than 3,000 homes.
