Inequality and the demise of the American Dream

Paul Krugman, and economist at Princeton and columnist for the New York Times, is now blogging at the NY Times. Krugman is the cream of the crop when it comes to progressives whose political beliefs are founded in rock-solid economic theory. He’s no socialist, and he’s no ideologue.

This post discusses what I believe to be the single most important issue facing the United States: the demise of the middle class and rising inequality. It affects all of us, and the quality of the society in which we live. Anyway, you should check it out, and then ask your Republican-voting parents over Thanksgiving dinner if they’re prepared to live in a third-world country in their old age.
